Privacy
Nothing is collected, measured or stored. This page explains what that means, and is honest about the two things that do happen.
1. The short version
This site does not collect anything about you. There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no profiling and no record of visitors. Nothing you do here is measured, and nothing is stored on your device. You can read every page, play the music and leave again without a single trace of it existing anywhere.
2. What this site does not do
- No cookies of any kind — see the cookie page.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, nothing.
- No advertising, retargeting or conversion tracking.
- No social media pixels, share widgets or embedded trackers.
- No fingerprinting, session recording or heatmaps.
- No accounts, logins, newsletters or mailing lists.
- No third-party scripts at all, apart from the web fonts described below.
Because none of this exists, there is no visitor record to export, correct or delete. There is simply nothing held.
3. The two things that do happen
The server log
Every website in the world runs on a server, and every server keeps a short technical log of the requests it answers: the address that asked, the page requested, the time, and the browser identification string. That happens at the hosting layer, before this site's own code is involved. It is what allows a host to keep a server running and to stop an attack.
That log belongs to the hosting provider, is retained for a short period under their own policy, and is then discarded. It is not analysed here, not connected to anything, and never used to build a picture of a visitor. The hosting provider is Hostinger, and their policy sets the retention period.
Web fonts
The typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com to fetch them. Google states that it sets no cookies for these requests and does not use them for advertising, but the request itself does reveal your IP address to Google, as a request to any server reveals it to that server. If you would rather that did not happen, blocking those two domains changes nothing here but the lettering.
4. If you write to us
The contact form and the email address are the only ways information reaches us, and only because you typed it in and pressed send. What arrives is exactly what you wrote: your name, your email address, the kind of enquiry, and your message. Nothing is added to it, and nothing is taken from your browser alongside it.
The form is delivered by submitto.email, which passes the message to our inbox and makes no other use of it. Once it arrives, it is treated the same way as any other email: read, replied to, and kept in the inbox for as long as the conversation is useful. It is not added to a list, not shared, and not sold.
If you would like a message you sent us deleted, write to hola@elissadelacruz.com and it will be removed. No explanation is needed.
Please do not send anything confidential, and do not include health information, financial details or anything else sensitive. Email is not a secure channel and this site is not set up to handle that kind of material.
5. Links to other services
The Listen section links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Amazon Music. Those services track their users extensively and have their own policies. The official YouTube video is not linked yet. The moment you follow a link you are on their territory and their rules apply. None of that is within our control, and no information about you is passed to them from this site.
6. Children
The site is intended for a general audience. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from children either.
7. If this ever changes
If analytics, or anything else that stores or collects information, is ever added, this page will say so before it happens, the date at the top will change, and you will be asked first where the law requires it. Until then, the description above is complete.
